店に遊びに来てくれたKaishandaoのカセットテープを直ディール。初見だったのですが中国は成都を拠点に活動している方みたい。コミュ力おばけな超ナイス人柄でしたが、作品はLo-Fi〜フォギーなハウス〜ベース・ハイブリッドでこちらも魅力的。完全に余談ですがBush Of Ghostsの再発盤とSHITTY HUNTER2購入してくれて私は爆上がりでした。
”'Homeland' is the debut EP from Chengdu-based, Wellington-born, producer Kaishandao aka Kristen Ng, six tracks embarking on an exploration through the places, spaces, and people we call home. Spawned from bedroom jam sessions, reworked and refined in post-lockdown live sets at club nights and festivals across China, Homeland began to seed in spring 2020, slowly recorded, sliced and rearranged over scattered late nights of machine tinkering and experimentation. Foraged sounds and temporal collisions. A therapy cassette sent through a drum machine. Chopped platters serving percussive micro aggressions, distorted audio residue and beat up guitars in the boot.
