京都拠点のLo-Fiファンク・デュオmess/ageが、USレーベルPPUからフルアルバムをリリース。90年代ヒップホップの空気感とローファイなファンクを融合させた実質デビュー作で、チープなトイシンセ主体のトラックに詩的な脱力ラップ、メロウな歌が乗るmess/ageスタイル。ジャケットはmunguniが担当、そして黒盤には秘蔵トラックが一曲収録されております。

”Kyoto-based lo-fi funk duo mess/age releases their album "mess/age/2" on the U.S. label PPU. Consisting of OHHKI and Khan Brown, the group creates a distinctive sound rooted in funk, hip-hop, and psychedelia using cheap gear and minimal approaches. Blending the mood of '90s classic hip-hop with lo-fi funk textures, the tracks feature vintage toy synthesizers, rap, and mellow vocals. The artwork is by munguni, an illustrator who released a book through Stones Throw.”
