There is a lot to say about dubplate culture and its history, something that a few lines here won’t do justice. While the physical process of cutting one off acetates may not exist so much anymore, the culture of sharing unreleased material in close circles of producers and DJ’s thrives behind the scenes. It was only right to ask TMH001 badboy to record side A. “All the best stuff is unreleased” to quote Perception himself. For side B, we could think of no better person to call upon than Highrise. King of the raw rolling production’s who probably could have recorded hours of his own material. Two 45 minute mixes of all their own productions, each side delivering a unique style and flavour”
